The prime suspect, Mike Eze in the alleged murder case of one Mr. Lucky Nwaki, a 40 year old man with five children murdered on the 5th of August 2019 at his site located at Orubor street, Agbor as reported in previous editions of Ika Weekly Newspaper has been arraigned at Agbor Magistrate Court 1 on a two count charge with case number MA/1245C/2017.
Mike Eze appeared before the Magistrate Court 1 Agbor on Thursday 7th 2017 while the second accused person is still at large. The Presiding Judge, M.C Odjugo ESQ, Magistrate Grade 1 Agbor, remanded the suspect at Agbor Prison, and made a proper order asking that the case file be duplicated and sent to P.P.R Asaba, for legal advice, on the ground that he has no jurisdiction to try the case, being a murder case. The judge remanding Mike Eze the suspect, fixed 28th of September for the hearing on the report of the case.
S.A Okwolise ESQ, the counsel watching the brief of the nominal complainant said the deceased was hale and hearty before getting to the site of his brother on a distress call, on the ill fated day of his murder. He said the family of the deceased is very zealous to follow up the case, and for justice to prevail. Okwolise said the matter will be taken up by the High court, pending the report of the P.P.R.
The wife, five little children and family of the deceased, Mr. Lucky Nwaki were seen in tears at the court.
