It was sea of heads at Owa Model Primary School, play ground Owa on Monday June 25, 2018, with the large turnout of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) women, in Ika North East LGA of Delta State who came to welcome the party’s state woman leader Mrs. Kanwulia Omoko, as the Ika North East LGA women leader host the women.
The gathering of the PDP women was the first time together since Mrs. Ngozi Ikem the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) women leader in Ika North East Local Government Area of Delta State, was appointed two years ago; hence the massive participation of women from the fourteen wards in the local government.
In a brief speech, Mrs. Ikem, the Chief host while welcoming the PDP State women leader to the local government, thanked God for journey mercy, she expressed joy over the large turnout of members, emphasizing that the women will remain committed and focused in their support for His Excellency Senator (Dr.) Ifeanyi Okowa, particularly in the re-election bid of the state governor in 2019.
Continuing, she informed the August visitor that women in the council area have always enjoyed good relationship with the party faithful, saying that there is no vacancy for the opposition, as governor Okowa, will win landslide in next year’s gubernatorial election, considering the developmental strides recorded by the governor across the state within the last three years of his administration.
Mrs. Ikem, thanked and appreciated all the women for coming out to welcome their amiable state woman leader.
In a brief remark, Mrs. Kanwulia Omoko, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) state woman leader, appreciated the women and party faithful for making out time to welcome her and her entourage to the council area and commended them for the large turnout. Continuing, she expressed gratitude to God for giving Deltans an intelligent result oriented, humble, peaceful, proactive and focused leader in the person of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, who has transformed all the nooks and crannies of Delta State with laudable projects which she noted is unprecedented in the history of the state.
Speaking further, Mrs. Omoko, told the gathering that the best way to reciprocate and build on the gains from Governor Okowa’s achievements is to re-elect him as governor for a second tenure next year, assuring that Senator Dr. Okowa, will better the lives of all Deltans and further develop the entire state to an enviable height. She urged the women and all eligible voters in Ika North East to register and get their Permanent Voter’s Cards (PVC), ready for governor Okowa’s re-election.
