HON. OKOH INAUGURATES OKOWA AGENDA GROUP

Special Assistant to the executive governor of Delta State on Youth Development and Chairman, Delta North Community Youths, Hon Friday Hero Okoh, also known as, Ode Eworor, has inaugurated Okowa’s Agenda group in Boji-Boji, Owa.

Speaking at the ceremony, Hon Okoh stated that the group is out to promote the agenda of the governor both before and beyond 2019.He noted that the group whose membership cuts across the different wards in Ika North East Local Government is going to work tirelessly towards the re-election of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa next year.

In his words ,”we are out to support and promote the agenda of our amiable governor, leader, father and mentor, Senator (Dr) Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa,” saying that Governor Okowa’s second tenure in 2019 is not negotiable. The governor has performed excellently well; his landmark and laudable achievements are impacting positively on the lives of all Deltans. “The best way to reciprocate the achievements of Governor Okowa is to ensure that he remains in power till 2023.”

Speaking further, Hon Okoh who is the Patron of the group, stated that the group will also be inaugurated in Ika South Local Government, including the appointment of ward co-ordinators in both local government areas. He therefore called on members of the newly inaugurated executive of the group to live above board and shun any thing they know will hinder it from achieving its set goals. He disclosed that membership of the group is opened to all persons who believe in Okowa’s agenda, stressing that members should wholeheartedly work for the group as the government will reward their efforts in due time.

In his maiden speech, the Chairman of the group, Mr. Chuks Iwegbu, expressed appreciation to the patron, Hon Okoh, the advisers and the entire members of the group for finding him worthy to serve as Chairman, assuring that together they are going to ensure a landslide victory for Governor Okowa in 2019.

Mr. Bobby Ajabor (Adviser 3),in a brief chat with newsmen after the inauguration commended Governor Okowa for putting smiles on the faces of Deltans through his SMART and Prosperity Agenda. He promised to always commit his time and resources towards the re-election project of the governor.

Names of the members of the newly inaugurated group are: Chuks Iwegbu, Chairman, Isioma Egwu, Vice-Chairman, Gracious U. Ogbekile, General-Secretary, Emmanuel Onyeidu, Treasurer, Chuks Okoh, Organizing Secretary, Chidi Andrew, Publicity Secretary, Mrs Sunday Ayetin, Financial Secretary, Comrade Solomon Nwadiogor Ibe, Public Relations Officer, Tony Isaac, Provost 1,Uwabor Ekpenisi, Assistant Secretary, Ekele Ewiwile, Provost 2,Mrs Chidubem Azuka, Assistant Organizing Secretary, Hon Friday Hero Okoh, Patron, Friday Buzugbe, Adviser 1,Hon Joe Emedom, Adviser 2 and Bobby Ajabor, Adviser 3.

Some of the newly inaugurated Executive members of the Okowa Agenda who spoke to newsmen shortly after the event include the Vice Chairman, Comrade Chukwuemeke Kennedy Isioma, Comrade Solomon Nwadiogor Ibe, Chief Security Officer to Setraco Construction Company, Asaba Airport and also Public Relations Officer (PRO) to the group and Comrade Andrew Chidi. They stated that their major reason for constituting the political group is to ensure that His Excellency, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, the Executive Governor of Delta State is duly re-elected come 2019, calling on all Deltans to support the projects and administration of the State Government. Speaking categorically on the Governor’s achievements, the executives noted that he became a political leader from the year 1998-1999; he served as Secretary to Ika North East Local Government Council, 1999-2007, as a Commissioner for different ministries. They said the Governor, during these years of leadership has done good jobs in Ika Land, particularly in the area of the provision of electricity, water, construction of roads and empowerment of his people.

The youths while promising to remain committed and contribute to PDP’s affairs, charged all Deltans who have not registered for their Personal Voter’s Cards (PVCs) to ensure they do so, to enable them vote for Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, whom they described as a road master and God’s sent leader to all Deltans and Nigerians at large.
