Every leader must be careful of who they take advice from, and listen to contrary views even when we do not like their guts”. He also advised the outgoing Bishop of Dioceses of Ika, Right Reverend Dr. Peter Imhona Onekpe (JP), to ensure that the right priest that would take over from him on retirement be elected as his successor. The Governor pointed out that the essence of Bishop Onekpe,  in ensuring that the right priest takes over from him, is for him to be happy and fulfilled in his retirement that he finished well and strong.
