DR. UKADIKE BAGS MOST FRIENDLY PROVOST AWARD

The Provost, College of Education (COE), Agbor, Dr. Joseph Onyisi Ukadike has bagged the most friendly College of Education Provost award. He was honoured with the award by the Student Union Government (SUG) of Delta State University (DELSU), Agbor campus during the Student’s Week celebration.

Speaking before the award presentation, the President of SUG, DELSU, Agbor Campus, Mr. Stephen Ngwoke described the award to be presented to Dr. Ukadike as well deserved. He said the award is an appreciation of Ukadike’s fatherly love shown to the students. His words, “Our Provost, Ukadike is a friend of the students irrespective of his position as the provost of the institution. We are wholeheartedly grateful to the provost for all his contributions towards our good and betterment”.

Mr. Ngwoke on behalf of the students congratulated Dr. Ukadike on his award, wishing him well in his office.

Responding, Dr. Joseph Ukadike expressed joy over the award, thanking the DELSU students of the college for the recognition and promised to continue to run an open door policy between him, the students, staff and the college community. He enjoined the students to always take their studies seriously and not to be carried away by the social activities in the campus. He wished them success in their educational pursuits.

Others presented with award plaques include the father of the Executive Governor of Delta State, Pa. A.I. Okowa and Union Bank Agbor branch manager, Mr.  Bamidele.
