BARR VICTOR EBONKA ENDS 15 YEARS POWER OUTAGE IN COUNCIL SECRETARIAT

It is indeed commendable that the electricity in Ika North East Local Government Council Secretariat that was cut off from Owa-Oyibu Community over fifteen year has been restored by the newly sworn-in Chairman of the Council, Hon. (Barr) Victor E. Ebonka. In addition to this great achievement, the new chairman has also made good effort to repair some generators that have not been in use for several years and they are all working perfectly.

Ika weekly Newspaper reporter, who visited the Local Government Council to make some inquiries and assessments on the chairman’s leadership, was told by some staff of the council that for over twelve years they have been working at the council, the generators that are in use today have never come on and also that they have not seen BEDC light in the council’s premises.

They said that since Barr. Victor Ebonka assumed office, everything that had been abandoned by the Ex-Chairmen of the council, have now come back to life. The staffers therefore noted that the council chairman’s good beginning is a clear indication that this dispensation will be favourable.

Speaking further, they urged the chairman to continue in such act and used the medium to call on all staff of the council and entire members of the public to support the council boss. They concluded by praying God Almighty to guide and strengthen him and give him the knowledge and wisdom to pilot the affairs of Ika NorthEast Local Government Council .
