AZUKA AND IFY FOUNDATION DONATES TO WOMEN AT OWA-ALERO

Pregnant women, and patients of Owa-Oyibu General Hospital, Owa-Oyibu were treated to a nice time by members of Azuka and Ify Foundation as they donated various gift items to the women on a visit that has been referred to as the first of its kind in Ika North East Local Government Area. Azuka and Ify Foundation, a Foundation and an N.G.O that offers humanitarian services by helping the society in different ways, such as empowering the youths, improving farming through helping farmers, improving health care system, and ensuring that kids receive proper education, has been involved in such activities in various towns and cities in Nigeria, but decided to bring their services down to Owa-Alero General Hospital in Ika North East, to assist in improving the health care facilities of the hospital.

Speaking on the essence of the visit and donation, Mr. Chuks Chukwuyem, Director of the Azuka and Ify Foundation said, the visit being the first of its kind in Ika North East, is a fact finding mission, to find out what equipment the hospital and the people are in need of, to help the Foundation come back in a bigger way in the nearest future. Mr. Chukwuyem stated that in as much as it is a fact finding mission, the foundation decided to donate items to patients and pregnant women in the hospital for the time being.
“Today, we have come to Owa-Alero General Hospital basically to assist and improve the healthcare system. Having gone round, we have taken note of the facilities in the hospital; we are donating the little we can at the moment. We have taken note of the things that are needed and we will come back in a bigger way to support the hospital. That is basically what we do at Azuka and Ify Foundation,” he said.
He said judging from the reception they got from the patients and staff of the hospital, there is need for more assistance, to improve the health care system. On ground to receive the gift items presented, Dr. Ebelebe Nwachukwu, the warden of the hospital, Mrs. Tina Ichazu, the auditor, the Matron of the hospital and others they welcomed members of the Azuka and Ify Foundation, describing their gesture as one of its kind, especially coming from Ika indigenes.
According to Dr. Ebelebe “We are so happy they started with our hospital, and we have received their donation, on behalf of the good people of Owa-Alero, and on behalf of the governor who hails from Owa-Alero.
Also ground to receive the members of the Azuka and Ify Foundation with a warm welcome was Hon. Moriss Nwadibie the deputy leader of Ika North East Legislative Arm, also from Owa-Alero thanked the Foundation for their visit, counting it as a plus to the hospital. He expressed optimism that the Ify and Azuka Foundation will do more for the hospital.
